Facilities

Camp Crestridge is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on an outstanding piece of property. Once you drive up through the front gate, you know immediately that you have found a very special place. Camp offers great facilities including:
  • Lake Crestridge is a mountain stream fed private lake with a diving board, blob, water slide, zip-line and dock system.
  • Gymnasium complete with basketball courts, volleyball courts and equipment, as well as gymnastics equipment.
  • Covered Pavilion with large stone fireplace overlooking Lake Crestridge.
  • 2 tennis courts
  • Hiking and biking trails designed for both new riders as well as more advanced riders.
  • Camp museum displaying camp memorabilia dating back to 1955.
  • 2 Large Arts and Crafts building with multiple programming options.
  • Renovated Cabins with internal bath facilities.
  • Camp Clothing Store and Snack Bar
  • "Campy" playground for the 2 youngest age groups, located just outside their cabins.
  • Infirmary that houses our 3 medical staff plus an exam room, secure medication storage, private camper restrooms and camper sleeping quarters.

Facility Updates Since 2015

  • Developing over 30 acres of land we already owned, as we increased the size of Camp's footprint, including 15 new cabins and 2 new Villages (age-groups).
  • State of the Art Swimming Pool including diving board, basketball goal, volleyball area, zero entry play space, lounging chairs on the pool deck, and an incredible view. The pool house includes a covered area as well as public restrooms and changing areas.
  • New Archery range
  • Two new athletic fields, one of which is designed to accommodate the entire camp at one time.
  • New High Ropes Elements:
    • Leap of Faith: After being harnessed in and secured to the safety system, you climb a tall telephone pole, carefully stand on the top and then attempt to jump and grab onto the trapeze bar about 6 feet away.
    • Giant Swing: Designed to be enjoyed with a friend, two participants are harnessed into a special seat and hoisted into the air by their cabin-mates. Using their own "rip chord" they swing together up high enough to catch a glimpse of a breathtaking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
    • Updated Climbing Wall: a wall consisting of 4 routes with varying degrees of difficulty, as well as a "vertical playpen" to add an additional challenge to those who are interested.
  • Large outdoor amphitheater designed to seat the entire camp, tucked into the hillside and overlooking Lake Crestridge.
  • Expanded open air Chapel that sits between Lake Crestridge and the mountain stream that feeds the lake. The Chapel has a rustic mountain feel where you can hear the trickle of the surrounding creeks, while also having a complete audio visual system, as well as a stage for camp-wide performances.
  • Expanded Dining Hall complete with a wrap around porch, fireplace, stage, sound system, family style dining arrangements, and an updated kitchen designed to feed the entire camp in one sitting.
  • New Stable facilities including 2 outdoor riding arenas, 1 covered arena, multiple wash stalls and grooming stalls, restrooms and changing rooms, multiple turnout areas, and shaded pasture space.
  • Cooking classroom featuring 3 residential kitchens as well as commercial grade prep areas.
  • Updated Laundry facilities, including new machines and more machines to enable our staff to accommodate in-house laundry needs for the entire camp.
  • New Pump Track and Mountain Bike Trails for the Mountain Biking Skill to enjoy.
  • New Staff Parking Lot that will enable us to "hide" most of the cars, creating a much nicer setting around camp.
