Alaynah Deaton is from Jacksonville, Florida and attends Troy University. She was a long time camper, a Bear Paw JET in 2024, a Bear Paw Counselor in 2025, and is so excited to serve as the Bear Paw Village Director for her 12th summer at camp!
What is your favorite spot in camp?
The Chapel!!
If you had to be an expert at any one sport or hobby, what would it be and why?
If I was an expert at any one sport it would have to be tennis! I absolutely LOVE playing tennis and I am always wanting to get better and learn new shots and techniques. I think it would be so cool to be an expert at tennis because I could go and play in all the big tournaments around the world and playing tennis as a career sounds amazing!
What is something you would rate a 10/10?
My sweet kitten, MAX!!!
What are small things that make your day better?
Some small things that make my day better are a loaded nutrition tea, starting my day with a quiet time, a walk outside, hanging out with friends, and a long nap.
If you had any exotic pet, what would it be and what would you name it?
If I had any exotic pet, I would want to have an Elephant and I would name it Tiny!!
As the Lord is preparing your heart for this summer, what's your biggest prayer?
As the Lord is preparing my heart for this Summer, my biggest prayer is that these sweet girls coming to camp lean into what the Lord is trying to teach them whether it is their very 1st summer or their 7th summer. I pray that they come to know that having the Joy of the Lord in their heart and living their life for Jesus Christ is the best decision they could ever make. I pray the staff can truly impact and pour into each camper that steps through the gates. I also pray that each girl that gets to experience Camp Crestridge leaves yearning to know more about our Lord Jesus Christ and eager to share what the Lord has taught them this Summer!
