This is Ashlyn's first summer at Crestridge! She is so excited to see how the Lord moves this summer!
If you were a pasta shape, what would you be and why?
I would be celletani because I’m silly and weird but fun!
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
Visit Europe, live near the beach, and learn to play banjo because it would be so funny!
If animals could drive, which animal would be the best and why?
Monkeys because they have opposable thumbs and because they would always know where to go to get into trouble!
What's your favorite Bible verse and why?
In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus is addressing worry. He talks about how we worry about what clothes we will wear tomorrow, what food we will eat, etc., but then in verses 33-34, He says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” These verses remind me that as long as I seek the Lord and take small acts of obedience day by day, there is no need for me to worry and I can focus on the now because the Lord will provide. This truth continues to come into play throughout different seasons in my life.
What are you praying for in anticipation for this summer?
I am praying for God to move in young girls’ lives this summer, use me well, and grow the faith of both the campers and counselors! I know He will do great things through Crestridge!
