This is Lizzy's first summer at Camp & she is thrilled to impact lives for God's glory!
If you were a pasta shape, what would you be and why?
I would be tortellini. I might be quiet when I first meet you, but once I warm up to you, I can be loud and fun! There's more to me than what you see on the outside!
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
1. work as a barista, 2. go to a concert at Red Rocks, 3. go skiing
If animals could drive, which animal would be the best and why?
I think an octopus would be an awesome driver. Because they have 8 limbs, it would be easy to handle all the multi-tasking that comes with driving. It wouldn't need to worry about being distracted because it has so many limbs to do things all at once! It has one limb for pushing the pedal down, one for steering, on the change the music, one to roll down the window, and another to wrangle the kids!!
What's your favorite Bible verse and why?
My favorite verse is Psalm 27:4. This verse is a beautiful reminder to me of who I am to fix my eyes upon. It is so easy to get caught up in the things of this world, but this passage highlights the simplicity of the life and pursuits of a believer. We are called just to sit at the feet of Jesus and learn from Him all our days. Praise the Lord we have a loving God, who graciously lets us come before Him!
What are you praying for in anticipation for this summer?
I am excited to see how the Lord works in the campers' hearts as they are away from their normal lives and are surrounded by a loving, encouraging community. I am praying that they will see the Lord in new ways, whether that be through friendships, nature, or various activities. Lastly, I am praying that they will be able to leave camp with a heart ready to implement the lessons they have learned back at home.
