Sydney first came to Camp as a camper & is so excited to be back as a counselor! She cannot wait to see how the Lord moves this summer!
If you were a pasta shape, what would you be and why?
I would have to be bowtie pasta, 100%. It's so fun and unique, and my mom always makes the best pasta salad using it, so it is obviously my favorite.
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
1. See the northern lights/midnight sun. 2. Be a published young adult fiction author. 3. Learn to speak fluent Spanish.
If animals could drive, which animal would be the best and why?
I think it would be so funny to see a giraffe driving. I know they wouldn't be the best, but just imagine a giraffe trying to fit in a car. They're head would have to hang out the sunroof!
What's your favorite Bible verse and why?
My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. Throughout some of the darkest times in my life, God always brings me back to this place. He has never failed to remind me that His plans are greater than mine, and He will always make a way. No matter where I am in life, it is a fantastic reminder that life goes on, and no single moment lasts forever.
What are you praying for in anticipation for this summer?
My biggest prayer for this summer is for Christ to soften the hearts of all of our staff and campers. I remember when I first went to Crestridge summer of 2018, I did not want to be there. However, I had so many people praying for me, and by the end of my two weeks here, I did not want to leave. So my prayer is to open every heart that is here this summer, to Christ and to community.
